@@picante28 😂 the hardest thing with flute is the breath control!! It’s so easy to run out of air!
I respect and love Detroit style! One of the best! There is style that I don’t care for but they think their the best, can’t say cause people get their feelings hurt! I would love to learn Detroit, it a little different from NY/NJ!
@@glitter2glaze21 I’ve dabbled a bit and it’s lots of fun! Definitely a very different flow than NY/NJ. For example, the most common pivots in Detroit style are kinda the opposite of what NY/NJ uses, and the style uses a lot more pulling of partner (NY/NJ you really never pull- if positioned correctly you don’t have to). I’d love to learn more of it!

What are some good wheels for snapping?
@@MJ88866 Snap isn’t the style I skate so I can’t give solid info but I see most folks on either a vanathane wheel (vintage rental wheels, All Americans or Suregrip Velvets) or Fomacs. I think it would be hard to flip your foot with ease on a stickier wheel

Thanks a lot for the review! I have similar roll line plates, have you ever tried fitting normal size cushions on them - I thought that in terms to do this I have to raise the lower nut on the pin since normal cushions are shorter… I find their native yellow cushions too stiff…
@@RosssRoyce I don’t think there’s any reason to use “normal” cushions. They’re not really interchangeable between most brands. Roll Line has their own cushions made to fit their hardware. My plates came with the grey cushions but I changed them to the clear blue ones bc I needed them to be harder. The grey was too soft for my weight (about 140lbs).

@ It’s a very dynamic style that caters to both those who want to skate with a partner and to those who want to take a deep dive into skate technique. It’s the style I skate and I love it! When I travel out of state people are very eager to learn it. One of the things I love the most about it is that every time you grab someone’s hand it’s going to be different. It’s not a routine so I never get bored! Plus I love house music and classic disco 😍

@@alicejordan8260 this rink is no longer open. It was in Staten Island but closed permanently in May of this year.
